Thailand’s Knowledge Institute of International Trade announced February 16 that it expects an increase in Thai exports generally, and lifestyle products in particular, to Japan this year. Target customers include those from hospitality, schools, restaurants and entertainment.

This is largely driven by an increase in the number of tourists and business people travelling to Japan. These figures are expected to increase to 30 million in 2020 when Japan hosts the Olympics. In addition, the Thai Lifestyle Products Federation expects exports of lifestyle products to Japan to increase by 2% to 3% in 2015.
