HRH Princess Ubolratana Rajakanya Sirivadhana Barnavadi presided over Thai Night 2016 —Where Films Come Alive, under the theme ‘THAICONIC’ at JW Marriott Santa Monica Le Merigot, California on November 3.
“The DITP hosts the Thai Night annually with the purpose of promoting and disseminating the capability of the Thai film, entertainment and content industry so that it will be acknowledged and widely accepted in international markets,” said Suvit Maesincee, Deputy Minister of Commerce at the opening ceremony.
According to the Deputy Minister, Thailand’s film industry is worth approximately US$757 million (26.5 billion baht), and is estimated to grow by 10-15% in 2017.
