The DITP hosted the Thailand Trust Mark Sustainable Day on June 20 at S31 Hotel in Bangkok, with the aim to share knowledge about Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), the environment and labour to Thai companies interested in applying for the prestigious Thailand Trust Mark (TTM).

“Currently, there are 675 companies who have received the TTM,” ML Kathathong Thongyai, Director of the Thailand Institute of Design and Innovation Promotion, DITP, said at the event. “Roughly half of the companies are in the food industry, a third in the lifestyle industry and the rest in the service industry.”

The TTM is a symbol of international quality products and services – an endorsement of excellence in categories ranging from food production, heavy industry, lifestyle and fashion to pharmaceutical products and spa supplies. Requirements for receiving the TTM are based on internationally recognised standards, such as ISO 9001 for manufacturing and ISO 14001 for the green industry.
