The Ministry of Commerce (MoC) has hosted two programmes to strengthen relations between government leaders and the private sectors in both Thailand and Cambodia with the purpose of enhancing opportunities for trade and investment in the region.

Deputy Minister of Commerce Suvit Maesincee announced that the ministry invited more than 100 Cambodian leaders from the public and private sectors to Thailand from May 26 to 28 to meet Thai business people to develop a mutual business network. Some businesspeople drove luxury cars and big bikes from Cambodia to Thailand and back for the event. A gala dinner was held at the Dusit Thani Hotel, Bangkok on May 28.

The Ministry will also organise an Executive Programme from July to August 2016, inviting 60 key executives from government agencies and major companies in Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam to attend seminars and exchange views on economic, trade and investment cooperation.
