Pannakarn Jiamsuchon, the Director of DITP’s Guangzhou office, held discussions with Xie Jinhe, the President of Shunde Rubberwood Association in March in Guangdong Province.
“Guangdong is one of the major markets for Thailand’s rubberwood,” said Jiamsuchon. “Companies in this province have imported Thai rubberwood for their furniture manufacturing and interior decoration. Thai rubberwood is required because of its good quality with beautiful colours and fewer flaws.”
Shunde imports two containers of rubberwood each day, and there are more than 100 rubberwood processing plants in Guangdong.
