The DITP has set up a strategic plan to explore business opportunities in 16 Tier II cities in Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam, such as Mandalay, Siem Reap and Luang Prabang, DITP Director-General Malee Choklumlerd stated on April 10.

“We will assign our trade representatives to sell products in the targeted cities as well as inviting buyers and importers to meet Thai manufacturers. We will also organise product promotion activities in these markets to boost demand,” said Choklumlerd.

In addition to organising tradeshows, such as Thailand Week and Mini Thailand Week, the DITP will host a CLMVT Forum entitled ‘Towards a Shared Prosperity’ from June 16 to 18 in Bangkok to promote trade, investment and tourism cooperation among the five countries.
