Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce, Chutima Bunyapraphasara, met Bangladesh Ambassador to Thailand, Saida Muna Tasneem, at the Ministry of Commerce on March 30. They discussed trade and investment between the two countries.
The Bangladesh ambassador informed that the embassy will host the first Bangladesh Trade and Investment Conference 2016 from May 30 to June 1at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre, Bangkok. This conference will include seminars on trade and investment and product showcases by over 50 Bangladesh companies. Thailand and Bangladesh set a trade goal of US$1.7 billion in 2016.
