DITP Director-General Malee Choklumlerd stated on April 1 that Thailand was the eleventh largest fruit juice exporter to the UK.
The UK imported US$14.12 million of pure fruit juice from Thailand, up 140% on the previous year. Coconut juice was the top imported juice with a value of US$10 million, up 595% from 2014.
“Healthy drinks are popular among UK consumers,” Choklumlerd said. “This trend greatly benefits the fruit juice market and it is an opportunity for Thailand to export more coconut juice.”
