The DITP, Thai Chamber of Commerce and Koelnmesse GmbH will jointly organise THAIFEX-World of Food Asia 2016 from May 25 to 29 at IMPACT Muang Thong Thani, Bangkok.
DITP Deputy Director-General Supapat Ongsangkoon announced that about 150,000 trade visitors from around the world are expected to attend this trade fair.
“It’s estimated that there will be immediate transactions worth about 1.5 billion baht (US$42 million), and 7 billion baht (US$198 million) in potential sales over a one-year period,” Ongsangkoon said.
Thailand’s food exports were valued at US$24.4 billion in 2015. This year, the DITP plans to boost exports to potential markets such as ASEAN countries, China and the Middle East.
