The DITP held the 34th Bangkok International Fashion Fair and Bangkok International Leather Fair 2016 (BIFF&BIL 2016) at the Challenger Hall, Impact Muang Thong Thani from March 9 to 13.

The fair showcased the potential of Thai fashion industry businesses and designers. The event was held under the theme of Catching the Creative Spirit.

“We aim for Thailand to be a fashion trendsetter for the region,” DITP Director General, Malee Choklumlerd, said.

For BIFF&BIL 2016, the DITP engaged over 75 designers in product design development workshops where experts from Japan, Europe and ASEAN guided participants through product development. Thai brands on display at the event included Zabede swimwear for Muslim women, Nodething bags from natural fibre and Sea Star bags, which utilise recycled materials.
