DITP Director General Malee Choklumlerd announced that rubber importers from 100 companies worldwide will attend business negotiations with Thai operators at the Centara Grand Hotel, Central Plaza Ladprao, Bangkok, from February 29 to March 2.

“The Ministry of Commerce has implemented the government’s policy of finding ways to increase the domestic price of rubber,” says Choklumlerd. “For this event, the DITP has invited investors from Malaysia, Vietnam, China, Egypt, Hong Kong, South Africa, Sudan, India, South Korea and Saudi Arabia to participate in the talks.”

An exhibition on rubber and factory tours will help promote the good image of Thai rubber. Currently Thailand manufactures approximately 4 million tonnes of natural rubber per year. In 2014, 86% of total rubber manufactured was exported to a value of US$6 billion.
