The DITP will take a delegation of Thai organic producers to participate at the Natural Product Expo West 2016 in Anaheim, California, from March 9 to 16.
“The US is currently the largest market for organic food in the world worth over US$39 billion with potential for continuous growth,” DITP Director General Malee Choklumlerd said.
Choklumlerd believes that Thai companies might have an advantage over competitors particularly in snacks made from Thai Hom Mali rice and lactose-free coconut milk.
Over 3,000 exhibitors and 63,000 participants are expected to join the US expo.
