DITP and Sobeys promote Thai rice in Canada

The Thai Trade Centre in Toronto together with Canada’s second largest food retailer, Sobeys, organised a rice education seminar as a promotional event to promote Thai rice in Canada, late 2015.

“The event was held to provide knowledge about Thai rice and to create confidence that Thai rice can be used in Western cuisine as well,” said DITP Director General Malee Choklumlerd on January 1. “Sobeys has shown interest in importing Thai Rice Berry due to its nutritional properties and popularity.”
