Two senior Japanese businesspeople visited Thailand in December, announced DITP Director-General Malee Choklumlerd.
Hiroki Owada, vice-chair of Broadband Tower, and Jun Tamura, chair of Broadband Fashion (BBF), met representatives of PSB Co. Ltd. from December 4 to 6 to discuss trade opportunities and potential cooperation on e-commerce.
Broadband Fashion has agreed to distribute Thai SME products via e-commerce channels in Japan. Products demonstrating high potential include clothing made from Thai fabrics, herbal soap, silver jewellery, handicrafts, home furnishings, and dry food and seasoning. BBF believes that Thai products sold via e-commerce in Japan will generate over US$40 million per year.
