Thailand and Japan agreed to strengthen economic cooperation at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit in Manila, the Philippines on November 18, 2015.
Minister of Commerce Apiradi Tantraporn met with the Japanese Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, Motoo Hayashi, to discuss matters relating to the Japan-Thailand Economic Partnership Agreement (JTEPA).
Both parties agreed to increase mutual trade and to create additional trade channels. In addition, both countries will share information with the private sector to attract more investment.
