Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Governor Yuthasak Supasorn revealed on August 29 his aim to increase the number of tourists by ten million during the last four months of the year.

Supasorn said that to attract overseas tourists, the TAT will focus on recuperating global confidence in Thailand through marketing strategies to be implemented in September and October via expos and international events, especially sports competition, which will draw more tourists to Thailand.

“Thailand has welcomed around twenty million tourists since the beginning of this year,” said Supasorn. “The TAT plans to expand community-based tourism to stimulate the grassroots economy in line with the government’s economic policies announced earlier.”
