According to the DITP, in the first six months of 2015 the UAE has imported machinery, electronics, electronic appliances and computers from Thailand worth US$376 million, up 25.2% compared to 2014.
The UAE is the second-largest market for air-conditioners in the Middle East with higher demand for air-conditioners in homes, offices and department stores.
The DITP says that UAE is promoting itself to become the logistics hub in the region with the Jeble Ali Free Trade Zone with the Dubai International Airport establishing a free zone in the airport to enable goods to be transported quickly.
