DITP Director-General Nuntawan Sakuntanaga said on August 14 that the department is to closely monitoring the Pacific Alliance, as many countries are looking to invest in the Asia-Pacific region.

This strategy, which conforms with the policy of the Ministry of Commerce for Thailand, will allow Thailand to develop trade cooperation with the Pacific Alliance group members – Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru. The total population of the four countries is 212 million people. The goal of the Alliance is to eliminate trade barriers and increase competitiveness in the region and connect the region to international markets.
