Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Tanasak Patimapragorn held a joint press briefing with Wang Yi, China’s Foreign Minister on August 6 in Kuala Lumpur.

“Both parties had a discussion on ASEAN-China cooperation and both have agreed to build on what they have achieved through the implementation of the Plan of Action (2011-2015),” said Patimapragorn. “The upcoming 18th ASEAN-China Summit in November will present the draft of the ASEAN-China Plan of Action for 2016 to 2020.”

Thailand and China also discussed several areas of cooperation including security, trade, investment, tourism, regional connectivity, education and how to address emerging challenges.
