DITP Director-General Nuntawan Sakuntanaga says that the DITP has followed the policy of the Ministry of Commerce for sixty offices of commercial affairs overseas to invite buyers, importers, manufacturers and distributors to do business matching with Thai businesspeople.

The DITP expects that in the third quarter of the year, no less than 14,000 businesspeople from overseas will travel to Thailand to order goods to sell during the Christmas and New Year period. The value of sales is expected to be no less than 7.3 billion baht.

Goods that are expected to receive a higher amount of orders are electronic appliances, air conditioners and television sets, with the export value of the first five months of 2015 (January-May) totaling US 9.655 billion.
