The DITP organised two seminars on ‘AEC Know How Now’ in Chiang Mai on June 16 and Songkhla on July 2 to prepare SME businesses for the upcoming ASEAN Economic Community.
“Top and middle-level management and marketing experts from the private sector, such as LOXLEY Public Company Limited, The Thai Chamber of Commerce, the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce were invited to share their knowledge and experiences with SME business people with the aim to help enhance competitiveness for Thai businesses,” said DITP Director-General Nantawan Sakuntanaga.
Representatives from 400 SMEs attended the seminars, which involved 80 business-matching activities. Three more seminars will be held in Khon Kaen on August 6, Chantaburi on August 27 and Surat Thani on September 8. “Thai business people are urged to participate, especially those who would like to conduct trade activities with ASEAN markets,” said Sakuntanaga.
