Commerce Minister Chatchai Sarikulya announced on July 9 that the ministry plans to promote a group of products with high export potential to achieve a growth rate of 1.2% for 2015.

The four groups of products represent around 57 percent of total exports. The first group consists of automotives, computers, rubber and electrical appliances, and electronic goods. The second group comprises of agricultural and food products. The third group includes petrochemicals, while the last group is jewellery and accessories.

In addition, the ministry will also join the private sector on overseas road shows, starting with South Africa and Mozambique from July 25 to 30 to promote para rubber, rice, automotives and jewellery products.
