DITP Director-General Nuntawan Sakuntanaga announced on June 15 that Thailand’s exports for January to April had risen to over US$2.6 billion, a growth of 16.7% compared with the same period last year.
“The department plans to conduct several activities in [Vietnam] during Q2 and Q3 to boost Thai exports,” said Sakuntanaga. “Some of the activities include trade negotiations between Thai and Vietnamese suppliers from June 18 to 20 in Ho Chi Minh City, sales activities at Intimex Mall in Hanoi from June 26 to 28, Thailand Week in Ho Chi Minh City from July 08 to 12, and Thailand Week in Hanoi from August 13 to 16.”
