The DITP’s Thaitrade.com coordinated with Tradeindia.com, the biggest online B2B trade website in India, to launch the ‘India-Thailand E-Commerce Business Forum’ in Mumbai this May. The growing middle class population in India and high internet accessibility has made the nation a potential market for online trading.
“Thaitrade.com offers great opportunities and helps expanding business channels to international markets for Thai businesses in India,” said Songyos Sirijantaropas, Managing Director of paper product company Surasiri Co. Ltd, who recently met representatives from two Indian companies, Gayatri Stationery and Godavri Capital. Sirijantaropas said that these negotiations were expected to lead to sales valued at 3 million baht.
“Thaitrade.com also provides a free personal assistant service to support business negotiations in terms of language translations, for a faster and a better understanding towards the business agreements,” Sirijantaropas added advocating greater use of Thaitrade.com by Thai companies.
