Held from May 20 to 23, THAIFEX-World of Food Asia 2015 generated over 8.28 billion baht of business, according to DITP Director-General Nuntawan Sakuntanaga. Business matching sessions on Thaitrade.com had also reached 174 partners, and were expected to generate trade of more than 75 million baht.
“DITP will continue promoting agricultural and food industries by launching marketing strategies, expanding new marketing channels, and encouraging Thai manufacturers to focus on producing quality products and improving their seals to increase consumers’ confidence,” added Sakuntanaga. “The DITP has aimed at pushing Thailand to become the centre of food and food-related technology and services.”
The numbers of food industry businesses that participated in the exhibition this year increased by 13.9% compared with last year.
