The DITP urged Thai entrepreneurs on April 6 to develop marketing plans and to clearly identify the benefits of Thai herbs and products to better meet customers’ requirements.

According to DITP Director-General Nuntawan Sakuntanaga, the opportunity for Thai entrepreneurs to export health foods to Japan has improved, now that certain restrictions have been loosened. “This will help expand the market of health-related food and products by 17% in 2017 or a total value of 2.145 billion yen,” she said. “Nonetheless, all food-related products must meet governmental food safety standards and requirements before being exported.”
