The DITP plans to promote Thai fruit and vegetables in 2015, especially the Marian plum or the plum mango which is already being sold in Marks & Spencer’s stores in the UK.

“In 2014, Thailand’s exports of fresh, frozen, canned, and processed fruit and vegetables grew by 10.6%, and were valued at over $3,591 million,” says DITP Director General Nuntawan Sakuntanaga, “We expect the number of exports to be higher this year, especially for Thai fruit which are sweet and aromatic.”

In the coming months, the DITP will bring representatives from the fresh and processed fruit industry to participate in domestic and overseas trade shows, while also cooperating with leading department stores and supermarkets to promote Thai fruit.
