Chinese investors will invest in the medical tourism business by opening healthcare centres in five resorts in Thailand and 50 healthcare centres in China, providing services that include medical check-ups, and dental and optical services. The centres are expected to serve 30,000 VIP clients and generate 1.5 billion baht in revenue.

Investors from China led by Chairman Lu Min of the Shanghai Ultra Thai Investment Management Co., Ltd. visited Tourism Authority of Thailand Governor Thawatchai Arunyik to agree the deal to offer medical tourism services in Thailand to high-end Chinese clients.
