In a measure to combat increasing waste, the Japanese government has introduced the Containers and Packaging Recycle Act, which encourages Japanese manufacturers and importers to take added responsibility towards their products. The bill obliges them to use materials that can be recycled, including glass and plastic bottles.
To comply with this act, the DITP encourages Thai entrepreneurs to use eco-friendly packaging to ease access to the Japanese market. They should also pay attention to the design of packaging and containers.
