DITP Director-General Nuntawan Sakuntanaga signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) to enhance bilateral cooperation on her visit to Hong Kong from March 4 to 6.

“The MOU will help increase trade, investment and facilitate the exchange of trading information online,” she said. “It will also allow Thai entrepreneurs to access markets in Hong Kong.”

Sakuntanaga announced that Thailand aims to increase its exports to Hong Kong in 2015 by 2 percent, to US$12.8 billion. The Director-General visited the Thai Pavilion at the Hong Kong Jewellery & Gems Fair in which 4,366 jewellery traders participated, including 366 from Thailand.

The DITP took the opportunity to promote authentic Thai cuisine and Thai ingredients in Hong Kong under the Thai Select logo.
