The Department of Skill Development signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Siam Daikin Sales Co. Ltd. on February 26. Under the terms of the MOU the company will operate the “Chang Air DD course” with the objective to train technicians on the proper method of installing and maintaining R32 split-type air conditioners.

Due to its tropical climate, Thailand has a high demand for air conditioners in both offices and apartments. “We need a large number of skilled air condition fitters,” said Puntrik Smiti, Director-General of the Department of Skill Development, Ministry of Labour.

The training course will be held in 14 provinces across the country in 2015.
