Nuntawan Sakuntanaga, the Director General of the DITP, met with Jean Paul Pelletier, Managing Director of Galerias Pelletiec S.A de C.V., one of the biggest suppliers to local supermarkets and business representatives from Mexico during a visit to Thailand from January 5 to 15.
“Mexico is a potential market for Thai businesses and also one of the main suppliers of resources for Thailand’s industrial sector,” said Sakuntanaga. “The visit is a good opportunity for both countries to foster business relationships.”
Sakuntanaga added that Thai products with the potential for growth include rice, light switches, circuit breakers and combustion engines. Thailand mainly imports wires, cables, plastic goods, chemical products and computer parts from Mexico.
