The Department of International Trade Promotion has reiterated that Thai canned products are of high quality and safe for consumption.

 

DITP further ensures that Thai export canned products are comprehensively inspected to ensure that the quality is in line with the requirements of food safety regulations.

The factories have certified GMP, ISO BRC and HACCP, which guarantees the safety of products before they could be exported. It is also determined that manufacturing process is safe and highly effective in eliminating Clostridium botulinum bacteria, which is much more hazardous than HIV virus.

FDA has also ensured that HIV can only be transmitted from an infected person to another through direct contact of body fluids such as blood, hence it is impossible for canned food to be contaminated by such virus.
