Issue 14: 31 October 2014

The Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) revealed its 2015 plan to promote and upgrade the domestic exhibition industry, on October 7. Dubbed ‘Invent-Clone-Upgrade’, the new strategy will further boost the number of trade fairs and exhibitions being hosted in Thailand.

“TCEB’s support in the organizing of trade fairs and exhibitions is one of our main missions since the very first day of our existence,” said Supawan Teerarat, TCEB’s Vice President for Strategic and Business Development. “In fiscal 2015, which has just begun this October 1, we are moving forward with these strategies under the ‘Invent-Clone-Upgrade’ policy for our trade fairs and exhibitions, to make room for opportunities which are opening up in the AEC era.

“The plan is to emphasise the “Invent” and “Clone” portions of the strategy, from Bangkok outwards to other parts of the country, particularly along the border, which is in line with the government’s plan to add value to cross-border trade.”
