“Today marks a proud moment for Thailand’s tourism,” said Kobkarn Wattanavrangkul, the Minister of Tourism and Sports, at the opening ceremony held at Bangkok’s Wat Pho on September 27. “We would like to invite everyone, both the Thai people and foreign expatriates, to ‘shoot and share’ their memorable experiences and impressions of Thailand, to be a part of helping to promote our beloved country to the world.”

Sugree Sithivanich, Deputy Governor for Marketing Communications of TAT said, “Thailand boasts 77 provinces; each has own distinctive charm. So we have created this project with Google Thailand to encourage locals and tourists alike to share to the world that everywhere in Thailand is always beautiful and everyone here is ready to welcome all tourists with the famous Thai hospitality.”

TAT and Google Thailand expect more than one million photos to be shared. The Photo sharing activity using #ThailandOnly will run until October 31. The photowalk is part of the #ThailandOnly project which last year attracted more than one million followers throughout Thailand, with more than one million pictures being shared.
