Raweewan Netrakawesana, the Director of Suvarnabhumi Airport, announced that exhibitions would feature beautiful orchids and provide photo opportunities so that passengers could take away postcards as a souvenir of their visit.
The airport is currently undergoing a six-year redevelopment plan (2011-17) which will increase its capacity from 45 to 60 million people per year. The intention is to make the “Airport of Smiles” the outstanding international gateway for the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) in 2015.
