The DITP and the Construction Institute of Thailand greeted trade representatives from Bhutan during their visit to Thailand from August 3 to 9. The Bhutan visitors met entrepreneurs and suppliers from the construction and service industries, and signed agreements with Thailand to develop construction and industry projects, as well as human resources.
The trade representatives also decided to buy two cellular lightweight concrete block machines from Thailand, worth six million baht (US$188,000), with the intention to buy a further 10 million baht (US$313,000) worth. The representatives said the machines would help develop Bhutan’s construction industry and other associated
industries.
