The DITP is hosting a seminar about elderly care products and goods for Italian and European markets from July 1 to 4 in Bangkok. Participating companies will have a chance to increase their knowledge of this increasing market, as the need for quality elderly care products increases. Italy has an ageing population with the average Italian man living to 79.4 and women to 94.5 years old.
The department has invited Davide Piperno, an expert with 30 years’ experience in the field of designing products for the elderly, to address the seminar.
Patama Singhara Na Ayudhaya, director of the Thai Trade Centre, Rome, stated that DITP’s elderly care product market plan for 2015-2018 will focus on providing information and advice to health care product manufacturers, as well as helping them penetrate major markets such as Japan and the EU with a one-stop service.
