Focusing on intelligence and innovation, Silicon Craft Technology is ready to make the connection between the digital and the physical world via the Internet of Things – IOT.

Silicon Craft Technology (SIC) was established in 2002, offering customised and standard design microchips for Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID) applications and developing products that carry high-value added features and advanced systems performance.

“Intelligence and innovation play a very large part in our identity,” says Manop Thamsirianunt, CEO of SIC. “We have been delivering the full-range of RFID products from low frequency to high frequency and ultra-high frequency to worldwide customers. Moreover, we specialise in mixed-signal and low-power Application-Specific Integrated Circuit (ASICs) design, which has proved to be a strong and healthy business over 13 years.”

SIC made its name using IC technology (Integrated Circuit) and Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) for animal identification in Australia where it is still held in high esteem.

According to Thamsirianunt, Thailand is known as an electronic and automotive manufacturing hub, but not for carrying out its own R&D. He believes that the Internet of Things (IOT) creates an opportunity for the country to integrate “sensible digital technology” into agriculture, automotive, medical and manufacturing.

“Sensible Digital is hardware equipped with customised software,” he explains. “It can be adapted to Integrated Circuit (IC) products to implement solar farms, home automation, IT industries, telecoms, etc. IOT is growing fast, and our community is supposed to work together on specifications to ensure that all IOT products and services work together effectively.”

Thamsirianunt believes that innovation and smart systems could connect the physical world to the digital world.

“We continue to see major changes in our daily lives,” he says. “Your smart home will automatically adjust the light and temperature. You can have a blood test at home and then send information to your doctor without visiting the hospital. You can download the coupon or buy a ticket from a multiple advertising poster. We all benefit from the greater efficiency that will help us streamline our to-dos, and ultimately save time and money.”

In 2015, Thamsirianunt is targeting farming, toys and games, biomedical and advertising developers.

“We think it is an industrial revolution,” he says. “We aim to feature more interactive experiences in our products with more compatible and better humanized elements for this year, in order to achieve our physical to digital objective.”
