A contemporary Thai house set within a lush green garden, Divana Spa offers award winning spa services with that essential Thainess.

Keeping things fresh is the key behind Divana Spa’s success, according to its principal, Pattanapong Ranuraksa.

“We have operated our spa since 2001, and now we have five branches with different focuses on health and wellness,” he says. “We’ve tried to keep an innovative concept in all possible areas starting with personnel development, functional interiors like the lighting in our spa rooms, as well as products and services.”

Another reason for the spa’s success has been staying true to its roots. “I believe that the international standard service together with Thai wisdom and Thai touch we have valued, have brought us this far,” says Ranuraksa.

This approach has proved as popular with the experts as customers. “Our first award winning was Best Spa in Bangkok 2004 from BK Magazine,” says Ranuraksa. “But lately there are a few more like World Luxury Spa in both 2013 and 2014, Best Day Spa in Thailand 2014 from Lonely Planet and the latest which we are so proud of is Medical Spa of the Year 2014 from Hong Kong.”

However, Ranuraksa is constantly striving for improvement. Divana’s research and development team have studied global trends to create unique, exclusive and innovative programmes tailor-made for Divana, which also reflects eastern philosophy and Thai traditions. “We have launched our new signature programmes every year,” says Ranuraksa. “For example [in] Queen of the Nightwe useeight kinds of Thai white night flowers mixed in the milky bath to submerge your body to help rejuvenate.”

Organic Golden Silk Royal Pampering is one of Ranuraksa’s more interesting programmes “Thai silk has beneficial properties for skin nourishment. Golden silk thread is rich in protein and contains significant vitamins. The treatment will help restore your skin and bring back moisture balance and a fine radiance,” says Ranuraksa. “One of the spa editors who has tried spa programmes around the world came to our place and tried our Golden Silk spa programme. He was so surprised at the outcome that he presented our unique treatment in Asia’s Spa Magazine.”

Unlike many in the industry, who guard their secrets closely, Ranuraksa wishes to pass on the skills Divana has gained to others, especially those less fortunate than himself. “Soon we will open the academy to share our knowledge to people who are interested, especially ones who are underprivileged, we have scholarship for them,” he says.
